

Generation Survivors Squad Advisory Board
The Generation Survivors Squad Advisory Board comprises young leaders aged 15 and older who advise Soul Survivors of Chicago on issues that affect youth and young adults. Our members represent a wide array of backgrounds and neighborhoods throughout the City of Chicago, ensuring that diverse perspectives guide our work.

Elevate youth perspectives: Provide frontline insight into the challenges and priorities of Chicago’s young people, shaping programs and policies that genuinely meet their needs.

Strengthen advocacy: Partner with Soul Survivors to champion equitable access to mental-health resources, trauma-informed care, and suicide-prevention services across the city.

Co-create solutions: Collaborate on designing workshops, community events, and peer-support initiatives that foster resilience, reduce stigma, and build supportive networks.

Develop leadership skills: Empower members through training, mentorship, and real-world experience so they can become effective spokespeople and changemakers in their own communities.
